"Paint a rainbow inside of you, paint a rainbow, let your smile shine through. When it's cold and gray push the clouds away, paint a rainbow in your heart.
~unknown

It's a fact.
It's January and it's gray. It has been for most of the week, and for some, most of the month...

The other day, I treated us to some new CUPS.... at Costco...ours were just a mess and for 12 bucks, you couldn't beat it....The people around here got the lecture....
"DON'T put these in the dishwasher..they'll be RUINED by noon..."
like the good listeners that they are, now they just leave em' on the counter....
(but that's another post for another time:):))

SOOOOOOOOOO....
as I was washing and drying (BY HAND mind you...)
the BAJILLIONTH glass of the day....this is what I saw when I opened up the cabinet...

a rainbow in the cabinet!!

and I was reminded to look to the rainbow...even if it is in the kitchen cabinet...
I TELL YOU...HE is in the details...

It is in the promise that the rainbow was the sign of the covenant that God would never again flood the earth with water.

"I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be the sign of the covenant between ME and the earth....the waters will never again become a flood to destroy all flesh."
gen. 13 - 15

and

the glory of Jesus,

"one sat on the throne. And HE who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne in appearance like an emerald."
rev. 4:2 -3

and there it was, a rainbow on what has otherwise been a very "grey" week, but right in the middle of winter I got to see a rainbow
and be reminded..
all because I happened to notice....
the RAINBOW became the detail.

"We may run, walk, stumble, drive or fly, but let us NEVER lose sight of the reason for the journey or miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way."

I'd love to hear your detail this week, they appear in the least likely places....
begging us to delight in them~

Wow! You're a braver woman than I, buying glasses that can't be washed in the dishwasher!! We don't do such scandalous things around here!! :)

This was a perfect detail this time of the year. Behind all those clouds and grayness is a rainbow waiting to be discovered!!

You're awesome girl!!

Now I know what to get you next Christmas...a glass scrubber. :)

Those are beautiful! I love them. I'd be tempted to leave my cabinet door open just so I could see them every time I walked by. Your own personal rainbow. How Lovely.

BEAUTIFUL rainbow of colors! Now, don't hate me....and I know you're busy....but I was tagged---I avoided it all year last year....wouldn't participate in these, but I felt like I should do this ONE and ONLY meme.
So if you have a chance...or just hit me. Yes with a ball bat. It's ok.
Love you girl!

Lori, I love that last quote that you shared. It is the journey, although as Christians, the destination will be marvelous!

Hope you're having a great weekend!

There's a hidden blessing!

I don't know how this link thing works. I've entered my information before and nothing ever came of it. What's supposed to happen??

Love,
Julie
