“All” joy!

~giggle, smile, chuckle, laugh out loud, be amused, happy~

Ever wonder if James was talking about having to sit on hold or wait in the doctor’s office? Think he was talking about forgotten lunches and spilled milk; out of order atm machines and copy machine jams? Late fees and leaky faucets? Interruptions and detours? That little word “all” makes me think so.

I’m working on it.

(I’m not sure if you’re checking your comments over at internet cafe devotions, and I wanted to let you know how much I love this!)

I think perhaps he was talking about when your toddler breaks two of your glass pitchers in one week (one full of lemonade), or when she grabs your favorite lipstick and completely annihalates it. Maybe then. :)

    Great word today, friend!

I’m working on it also, Lori. It isn’t always easy to “count it all joy.”

Lori ~ James didn’t have atm machines or box lunches so he didn’t mean those things! HA! This photo gave me the giggles. :) Blessings to you today.

A few trials is a good assurance that we are in fact on the right narrow path.
We are following the footsteps of one who walked to a cross…..this world is not our home.

Fantastic! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this one, Lori! I’m sorry I didn’t respond to your sweet email from a few weeks ago. I accidentally deleted all of my inbox so…

I had the birdy print made into an 8 x 8 standing easel (through Creative Memories) for my dear friend who lost her child two years ago. I will be giving it to her on Sunday.

Your gifts touch so many. The Creative Memories consultant who helped me order this ordered one for herself, too. Look at how God is using you, girl!

Hope your day is wonderful – I’m going to have to figure out how to blow this one up and frame it…:)

Oh I love this graphic Lori. Your work is so beautiful. Do you remember I asked a long while back if I could borrow the jeans to put in groceries we give to teens on parole? I think about it everytime I see your comments since your using it as your profile! Thanks for allowing us to use it. I loved your idea of socks. We are in a new ministry as community service organizers and activities directors in our apartment complex. We are collecting toothpaste in Sept. for the troops and cans in Nov. the socks is a great idea for Christmas. Socks/stockings kind of goes together. Thanks for mentioning it. And thanks for doing WFW. Have a great day.

Love the graphic! It makes me giggle too! And great Word today! Like the other comments, this is something I am working on daily. But the Lord helps me.

    Blessings to you today!

  12. Loved your graphic! So cute! And this encouraging verse from the awesome and encouraging Word of God! It’s not always easy to do but it is so worth it. (And in case this is a semi-duplicate – my first comment was in process and then I got a blank page – so trying again. :) Hmmmm, bet he was referring to computer crashes too!!!) :) :) :) Have a blessed Word-Filled Day!

I love this! I find that my reaction to something my grandchildren do, such as spilling something or writing on my walls with a crayon, as compared to when my own 2 daughters did it, is more often smiles and chuckles – sorry, girls! But I am also still working on it and I am so glad God gives me the grace to do so.

Lori, great thought for today and such a fun graphic!

PS: I tried to find a direct link to contact you but couldn’t – I wanted to tell you that the word “strangely” on your title bar is misspelled. The “r” and the “a” are transposed. oops!

Blessings Lori… I’m working on it still! It’s not fair that your comments are over at Internet and just wanted to ADD some JOY over here now that you walk in HIGH circles… counting it all JOY with James, & the PPT!!! So ya’ know I gotta leave their WORD here…too(:0)

“No one prays for trials, problems or crosses to bear. Life just has a way of serving them up whether you ask for them or not. And despite the heartache, God promises to make your loss something valuable. No trial is considered a waste in the eyes of the Lord. In fact, it is the primary element He uses in this world to make His presence known.”

“Consider how Moses’ exile from the riches of Egypt led him to a life-changing encounter with God in the wilderness.
From David’s fugitive existence grew a man after God’s own heart.
From Mary’s poverty and humble spirit, the Messiah was born.
James explains in 1:3-4 that these trials work the character of perseverance into your soul, leading to spiritual maturity and completeness so that you lack nothing, enabling you to always live in the abundance of God. That’s pure joy!

If you’re in a place of complete emptiness today, let the Lord paradoxically fill you with peace and comfort, strength and wisdom. Then take those attributes and use them to infuse your prayers for the nation, its leaders, and military troops and families that you know.”

So I’m praying for our nation but also for YOU that you may find comfort, strength, wisdom as you count it all JOY! Praying that you live in the abundance of God!
I hope that you don’t mind me sharing this here but it may lift someone else’s burden or remind them to PRAY!

    Peace & love,
    Peggy

    Lori,

I love your Word-Filled post. Sometimes – in the tossing of the storm it feels like the “count-it-all-joy” part got tossed on the waves, but then I remember that Jesus is in the boat and His peace brings more… Love, Joy, Patience, Hope, and Joy.

Thanks for reminding me to count it all joy. I’m trying, too.

    Blessings,
    Michelle
