It’s so contradictory to culture.
Humble yourself and you look weak is what they would have us believe. The reality is that there is power in humility. I know, I struggle with the notion myself! As a gal who seeks justice, I often forget that it’s in humility that I stand the most powerful. I feel as if I have to defend myself against the rival, you know? As I continue to journey through January committed to living intentionally, I’ve been recently reminded that humility is paramount. I realize that I might be the only one out there who is convicted in this, but you see, I THINK of myself as having an understanding of humility, but as I dive into humility, Jesus style, it becomes clear to me that I have quite a bit of work to do.
Jesus style humility. I’m working on it.

Oh yes. Needed this reminder, dear Lori.
Power in humility…so true.
Live your life intentionally…that is great. I have been working on being a person of integrity. I can be humble most times, but sometimes I do strike out to make myself look better, and those times I always regret
Your words and the way you capture them always bring such renewal and refreshment to my head. I am grateful for this reminder to humility, especially being in a leadership position. I am constantly aware of the need to be humble before the Lord and his people so he can be glorified and not my self.
Oh, and I nominated you for a Versatil Blogger award, and the details are right here. Be blessed today! http://sheandthewillowtree.blogspot.com/2012/01/versatile-blogger-how-nice.html
