I’ve Had Enough

Listen, there are times when, if we’re honest, these are the words we honestly present to the Lord in prayer.

“I’ve had enough Jesus.”

Reassurance lies in not one, but many places in His Word.

If you “have had enough,” find a branch and cling. It’s the best shade you’ll ever seek.

Blessings Lori… ahhhhh, such sweet peace and COMFORT under the shade and branches of this tree! Since Psalm 91 is my scripture this year, I thankful for His shelter! But as I read through each verse (that I love and know ohhh too well), because I definitely have had moments in my life of “I’ve had enough” … I guess today I choose Psalm 23:3… since God has allowed me this healing time and fresh breath and I pray that I am on my way in the right direction where He has sent me… Precious tree and beautiful way to cling to God’s Word! Thanks for the encouragement and sweet words!

Love, peace and a mighty big hug… maybe we should take the plunge and explore the deep… Peggy

Lori, this is so good and much needed. We tend to overlook the times when we question God in our posts. Our desire is to encourage the reader but we really cheat them out of the reality of walking this journey. It isn’t always pleasant.
I love the way you presented this concept in the graphic with all the verses of encouragement hanging from the tree.
    Nicely done.
    Blessings,
    Janis

Lori this is beautiful!! I love it and so true. There are times we need to rest and our Lord gives it to us!! Do you have this somewhere that I can share it? If that is alright? I have a friend that is really going through some hard times right now and this would be perfect for her! Thanks!!

Oh I love the graphic! Your post reminded me of an incident that happened to my husband a few years back. He was at work and something happened that wasn’t pleasing to him. He sat down to eat his lunch (he always gives thanks before eating). However, the last thing he felt like doing at that moment was giving thanks. Instead he said, “Lord, I’m not happy right now. Amen.”

We chuckled about the incident later, but I truly believe that God appreciated his honesty.

    Blessings,
    Joan

lovely Lori. I also love the verse, I think from Ruth….sit still or be still my daughter and see how the thing (or matter) will fall out.
So often that is all we need, to be still and focus on who He is not on the situation or circumstances.
Beautifully thought out and executed, clever and talented lady.
