Last week my family and I had the opportunity to stand alongside and watch urban missionaries here in the United States. Lexington, Kentucky to be exact. You leave such experiences a changed being, taking far more away than you gave.
It was a indescribable blessing, and words again fail me. I continue to process the experience and lean in a bit closer to God. Throughout the week this verse, this favorite verse of mine, expressed itself lived out by two ordinary vessels, living out their calling as missionaries in Lexington, Kentucky. Relationships with those who are much easier to ignore than invest in; work that is never ending and exhausting; daily commitment to love the neighbor, regardless of who that might be. Lives that bring light into the darkness.
I left humbled and convicted. The anthem of Jesus is that we all spend our lives living out the old prophet’s words. Just when our souls are too weary to go on, only then, will we get a glimpse of the noonday.

Awesome.
Love this…totally!
