It’s true.
Under pressure it’s all exposed, the good, bad and the ugly; true colors. We all know it’s easy to hide it all when things are going well, but throw a few kinks into the mix and the curtain flings wide open. Exposing the naked truth of who we really are.
Pressure cookers scare me because at any moment they can blow, just like people. Let’s be real, we’re all living pressure cooker lives and if our faith lives aren’t rooted in solid ground we can be certain that true colors will shine through and that may not be as attractive as we’d hope. We can only hide for so long until the steam eventually rises to uncomfortable temperatures and well, we all know what happens next. Green beans on the walls or in this case uncontrolled words and actions spewed for all to see. Impossible to undue.
It’s forced into the open allright. True colors exposed. It’s something to think about before the pressure mounts. Seems I just might be due for a faith-life check.

I love you sweet friend.
How true this is (I also am freaked out by pressure cookers). I wrote a few weeks ago about how I “lost it”. It was so awful. Even though provoked I was so ashamed and couldn’t believe what came flying out of my mouth. We do need to keep prayed up and ready for whatever comes our way. Great post and reminder! Have a wonderful day
Very true and VERY convicting. My grandson and I really enjoyed looking at this and talking about it.
Have a blessed week.
I love this post in a million different ways. I always love your pictures, let’s be honest about that one. Today, what you said really hits the spot. Thank you for sharing. May we be so filled with Christ that our “explosions” only point more to our need for Him.
Oh my…this was incredible. Great topic and what an amazing job you did with the scripture graphic.
See…you need to make this available to print!!
Love and miss you girlfriend♥
So awesome, Lori. I love this, and enjoy your new layout, too!
So true, what a great word picture and graphic!
